Fund Raiser Umbrellas

Below is a list of 5 inexpensive fundraising ideas for your school sports team or booster club.  These spirit items: are fun, inexpensive, generate school spirit, and have profit margins of 100% or more.

1.  Folding Umbrellas - These can be imprinted with your school or team name and can be obtained for well under $3.00 each.  Custom imprinted folding umbrellas are crowd favorites and look great in the stands.  Fans feel more comfortable cheering on their team when they have some kind of spirit item such as folding umbrellas.

2.  Mini Umbrellas - Obviously, these work great for all sport teams.  You can choose from a variety of sizes and colors.  The  mini umbrellas are about the size of a pencil and cost around $8.00 or less depending on quantity.  If you feel your fan base will buy full sized umbrellas, you can get customized stick umbrellas with your choice of panel colors and multicolored logos imprinted on the umbrellas.

3.  Full Size Umbrellas- Sport teams can choose from either solid or alternating panel umbrellas.  It is important to know your crowd and have an idea of how much money they are willing to spend.  There is always the option to take pre-orders for higher ticket items such as tournament stick umbrellas.

4.  Fashion Umbrellas - Promotional fashion umbrellas are commonly used by the cheerleaders.  These umbrellas can be used in 2 different ways for fundraising:

a) You can have a business sponsors put their name on logo once on one panel of the umbrella and your school and team name on the other two sides. With this option, the business actually pays for the umbrellas and lets the cheerleaders use the umbrellas at the games.

 

b) You can simply print your school and team name on the umbrellas and sell them through your booster club to fans.  Typically, the business sponsor is much easier and takes less effort.  For a typical game, you want to plan on selling a minimum of 100 umbrellas, and more for big games such as playoffs and championship games to help keep the crowd going.

 

8. Golf Umbrellas - Are another great and traditional fundraising item for stadium sports such as football and basketball.  Sponsors can offset the cost of the golf umbrellas by ads on the two panels. The booster club can then sell the umbrellas for $25-$30 to make 100% profit and generate thousands of dollars at a single game.
